Salt on Mass

I was hired to create a visual identity and mark for a brand new restaurant opening up in a hip-trendy area in downtown Indianapolis. They were looking for a chic classic design that represented their desire to bring great Seafood & Steak to the perfect hotspot to also enjoy high end cocktails. The original name of the restaurant was "Sea Salt on Mass" with Mass being the name of the street, Mass Ave. Unfortunately upon final completion of the logo for Sea Salt, the client ran into a legal name dispute resulting in a name change. Due to the time frame and expected grand opening date, the name was changed to "Salt on Mass". They decided to keep the same concept and treatment as before, with only a name change.
